Creative Coding

Scratch Fundamentals

A gentle first taste of coding — snap colourful blocks together to make characters move, talk and play.

What they'll do

About this course

Scratch turns big programming ideas into something a young learner can hold. By dragging and snapping blocks, students build characters, scenes and simple games while quietly picking up loops, events and logic. There is no syntax to memorise, so all their energy goes into creating and problem-solving.

It is the perfect on-ramp: every session ends with a project they can run and share, and a little more confidence than they walked in with. For many students this is where the spark for everything that follows begins.
